Preston's Custodian Staff Rocks... Custodians Receive Award
Caroline County Public School's custodial and maintenance staff were recognized during an annual luncheon held in their honor on October 20, 2017 at Colonel Richardson High School. Milton Nagel, Assistant Superintendent for Administrative Services, praised the work of the school custodians and maintenance staff. The proof of how well the school facilities are taken care of, is in a report from the Maryland Public School Construction Program (PSCP). They do an annual assessment of school buildings across the state every year. During the last ten years of assessments and reviews, the schools in Caroline County have received "Superior" or "Good" ratings. Caroline County is one of only four school systems in the state to receive a superior or good rating consistently in the last ten years. Preston Elementary School was the latest school to receive a Superior rating during the latest round of maintenance assessments in fiscal year 2017. Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Patricia Saelens, presented the certificate received from the Board of Public Works to Preston's custodial staff and school administration.
Dr. Clow and Mr. Petroske recognized our custodial staff during the PES Staff Meeting on November 2, 2017. We are so very proud of our staff and appreciate all of the hard work they provide in and around our school and thank them for taking such pride in our building. Gifts were presented to each custodian and we celebrated with cake!
