Congratulations to the Winner of the MASCD Coloring Competition!
All third graders in Caroline County were able to participate on their own time in a coloring contest sponsored by the Maryland Association of Soil Conservation Districts Ladies Auxiliary. The student pictured on the left with the principal Mrs. Daubach and Mrs. MIddleton from MASCD, won $20.00 for receiving first place in the category. Congratulations!
Third Grade Visits Linchester Mill
The 3rd graders all over Caroline County visited Linchester Mill to learn about our county's history.

Congratulations Mrs. Wroten for being PES Volunteer of the Year!!
Mrs. Wroten has volunteered at PES all year long in various classrooms. She is a great role model for everyone. She was also nominated for Caroline County's "You Are Beautiful Award" for 2011. The award celebrates outstanding volunteers around Caroline County. We are so very proud of Mrs. Wroten for being nominated!

Dr. Mumin visited PES on January 18th and visited many rooms including the Pre-K room, where he read a story to the students.
Helping Families in Need!
PES collected almost 3,000 canned items this year! We will be able to feed at least 50 families over the holidays. Thanks for all of your support!
Chorus Concert Winter 2011

PES's Book Fair Celebration!
Since almost $10,000 was sold at the book fair last week, we celebrated by dancing the Cupid Shuffle in the cafeteria. Thanks to everyone that participated!

Visit By Teachers From China
Teachers from China visited Preston Elementary School to see how we teach our students. They also taught us some Tai Chi and how to write our names using Chinese symbols. What a great learning experience for all!
