Hello PES Families and Community,
It is hard to express the excitement and privilege I feel to be the new principal of Preston Elementary School. I am eager to begin on Monday, July 1st on this new journey that my family and I will be setting out upon! Dr. Kari Clow and I were fortunate enough to begin our careers in Caroline County Public Schools together back in 2005, teaching just two doors apart from one another at Lockerman Middle School. When Dr. Clow and I would run in to one another over the years, it was always clear to me how much immense pride she took in the students, staff, and families of Preston Elementary School. To have the honor of carrying forward the traditions Dr. Clow and her staff have established is one I take with the utmost seriousness.
Mr. Richard Petroske, who will continue as Assistant Principal, and I are ready to hit the ground running! I am fortunate to have Mr. Petroske as my partner on our administrative team and will lean on his experience and knowledge of Preston Elementary School as my family and I join this community. I will be sending a more detailed letter to the families of Preston Elementary School that will contain a more formal introduction, information about beginning of school events, and two dates during the summer where students, parents, and community members will be able to come to the school to say hello and meet me if they want. :)
I am looking forward to meeting all of our students and having a wonderful 2019-2020 school year!
Sincerely,
A.J. Angeloni
