Passport to PAWS Success
On August 31, 2015, students participated in the Passport Activity traveling though the school on a learning adventure to understand how to be successful at PES. Passport posts included cafeteria, classrooms, playground, bathrooms, as well as arrival and dismissal posts.

In recognition of National Hispanic Heritage Month
through October 15th,
second grade teacher,
Mrs. Andrea Lopez Burns,
made homemade Guayaba Pasteles
(a traditional Cuban breakfast food)
to share with her students and staff.
The lesson included:
how to introduce yourself in Spanish,
counting from one to ten,
customary dress and other
"Martina the Beautiful Cockroach",
a Cuban folktale, was also read.

Welcome back breakfast and orientation for our bus drivers! PES bus drivers Rock!
Whiting Turner crew, Paul, Matt, and Katie; along with Chuck Petrick, oversee renovations at Preston Elementary School. On behalf of everyone involved in our renovations, thank you for your patience and cooperation during the process. Signing a major construction beam was an exciting event for all students and staff at PES. The beam is a proudly displayed in our new cafeteria.
